September 27 at 11am: "Sustainability through Happiness" featuring Scott Cloutier.
Scott is an Assistant Professor and Senior Sustainability Scientist at Arizona State University’s School of Sustainability. He is the director of the Sustainability and Happiness Research Lab (Happy Lab) and the Sustainable Neighborhoods for Happiness Projects (Happy Hoods). His research and applied work focus on processes of sustainable community development to maximize opportunities for happiness.
Scott will briefly outline his applied research program as director of the Sustainability and Happiness Research Lab (Happy Lab). He will also provide insight into the Happy Hoods Projects, which are meant to simultaneously promote sustainability and opportunities for happiness.
October 12th: Jon Hall, Policy Specialist of UNDP Human Development Reports Program, co-creator of the OECD Better Life Index and Australian Government Sustainability Indicators will speak about key lessons and pointers for policy makers using Beyond GDP data.
November 9th: Stafano Bartolini, Professor of Economics at the University of Siena, Italy, will speak about a common agenda for the happiness movement and key finding from his book The Happiness Manifesto
December 14: Karma Wagdi, Research Officer Center For Bhutan Studies will speak about Bhutan’s GNH Certification programs for businesses.
